Dubai’s Summer Restaurant Week is returning as one of Visit Dubai’s huge Summer Surprises, great news if you’ve been eyeing up any of the 50 restaurants featured but have never got round to visiting, or if you’re just in the market to explore somewhere new.  Between the 12th - 28th August, 50 participating restaurants across the city will be offering set menus starting from just AED69. We've put together a list of some of our favourite spots to try out and bag yourself a sweet deal on a set menu.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki

Our first pick is Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, offering, as they describe it, ‘unconventional Japanese Food’. Reif Kushiyaki, included in the Bib Gourmand category as part of the MICHELIN guide in Dubai, features a menu of Singaporean street food and Japanese plates, almost like a mezze of Asian flavours, including skewers cooked on the robata grill, a huge barbeque. The dishes are packed full of strong flavours, quality meat and unique pairings. Reif is offering a special limited-edition set menu for AED95 for a two-course lunch, AED150 for a three-course dinner and AED35 for the kid’s menu. Reif Kushiyaki also came 16th in MENA’s 50 best restaurants, it’s popular for a reason and DSS is a prime time to check it out.

Roaring Rabbit

Our second pick is Roaring Rabbit, a quintessentially British gastropub with an eclectic interior and classic menu. Located at the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Roaring Rabbit has a huge bar with a selection of beers on tap as well as a well-stocked spirit shelf. The space itself is huge, with plush, red velvet cushions and a huge, quirky installation on the ceiling. The menu is packed full of traditional gastropub fare, and is guaranteed to be heart and filling. Roaring Rabbit is wonderfully cosy while still feeling luxe. For DSS, Roaring Rabbit has an excellent lunch deal, with AED95 for a two-course lunch, which can include a starter or a dessert.

La Tablita

Offering authentic Mexican street food packed with flavour and colour, La Tablita is the next to make our list of highlights this DSS. La Tablita is as vibrant inside as it is on the menu, with a huge selection of tacos, fajitas, salads and more, all made with authentic, fresh Mexican flavours and methods, and of course some exceptional churros for dessert. Enjoy a two-course lunch for AED95, a three-course dinner for AED150, with the kids menu at AED35.

Fi’lia

Our last shoutout for DSS is Fi'lia, a showstopping restaurant on the 70th floor of the SLS Hotel. Not only does Fi’lia deliver on some exceptional views of the Burj Khalifa, but the Italian-Mediterranean menu and fresh, vibrant décor makes this spot an absolute must-try. Fi’lia has pizza ovens, fresh pasta, and even an adorable little ice cream trolley for a make your own gelato. Awarded the prestigious MICHELIN Bib Gourmand award, Fi’lia is offering a two-course lunch for AED95, and AED35 for Kids. If you’re into exceptional Italian food, great views, and an all-round heart-warming vibe, trust us when we say, this one is for you.
